I'm going to be starting the initial planning phases for the 1st Austinjazz.net Texas Jazz Fest, which will have an online presence at TexasJazzFest.com. This new endeavor has been a personal goal of mine for many years now, and after 4+ years of growing Austinjazz.net into the leading source of jazz-related news in Austin, Texas, as well as with my vast networking and vendor contacts that I've established through UnrealAustin.com, I now have some initial concepts in mind and I'm excited! While my Austin Jazz Festivals have been local in nature, the Texas Jazz Fest will include huge international artists in combination with local acts. I truly believe that only Austin could provide the greatest jazz festival in Texas - if we're supposedly considered the live music capital of the world, then that should make sense! I want to make it TEXAS HUGE!
