How to Submit News PDF Print E-mail

If you want to add your own content - it's easy! Contact me to notify me that you intend to add your press releases, stories, blogs, etc, and I'll authorize you as an "author." After you're authorized (I'll contact  you) follow the instructions below.

 To add content:

1) Login to the site
2) Look on the right hand side of the site under Your Menu
3) Click on Submit News.

A text editor page will come up.
4) Enter your title
5) Select the category from the Category drop-down menu
6) Enter your "hook" text in the Intro Text box. This is the text that will show on the front page. The point is to "hook" the visitor into clicking on "Read More." If it's an extremely short article (like one paragraph, 6 lines deep max) than you can just put all the text in this box.
7) Enter your Main Text in the Main Text box (when the visitor clicks "Read More" the entire article, including this text, will show)

Near the bottom of the page you will see 3 tabs - Images, Publishing and Metadata
8) Click on the Publishing tab
9) Change the state to Published
10) Check the box next to Show on Front Page
11) Optional: Click the Metadata tab and you can add keywords that people may use to search for your post - like "Austin, jazz, press release, alex coke, elephant room," something like that.
12) Click the the floppy disk icon to save your article

You're done. I know these may seem long at first but once you make a few posts it's easy!
